iERA’s Statement on the Manchester Terror Attack

0

Last night’s terror attack in Manchester was an appalling act of barbarism. iERA’s thoughts and prayers are with the people of Manchester and the families and friends of all those affected. iERA calls on everyone to do what they can to provide assistance and support, no matter how little.

We must not allow these tragic events to be used to fuel the fire of hatred. We must continue the work of positive outreach so fear and anxiety are turned into tolerance, compassion and acceptance.

Our response to this barbarity will not be fear. We will work even harder to promote understanding and common decency.

And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel evil by that which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity will become as though he was a devoted friend.
The Qur’an, Chapter 41, Verse 34

Love for humanity what you love for yourself.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Recorded in Bukhari.
