Exeter is an ancient city on the River Exe in southwest England with a budding Muslim community. To help them grow their outreach efforts from the Exeter Mosque & Culture Centre, they invited iERA to deliver it’s globally recognised dawah training course.
iERA’s Outreach Specialist Murtaza Chaudhary took lead on this training who opened the course touching on a very neglected, yet crucial area of dawah – how to welcome and empower new Muslims. Anecdotally, around 40-50% of converts do not go on to practice Islam holistically in their lives. The course teaches iERA’s 3-step method to (1) Welcome, (2) Teach and (3) Empower new Muslims.
Murtaza also taught iERA’s GORAP dawah conversation framework on how to redirect any conversation to discuss the foundations of Islam. The training ended on a positive note with the local Imam, Fuad, stepping up to continue dawah activities in Exeter. His next action will be to continue to work with iERA to host our Jesus Exhibition and materials in the conference suite at the Exeter Mosque & Culture Centre,
