On Saturday 20 August 2016, iERA held the biggest global outreach campaign in Islamic history.
This was an extremely audacious plan, but with the permission of God, iERA carried out an unprecedented campaign that has made history.
iERA volunteer teams in more than 160 countries took to the streets in their respective nations to convey the peaceful and compassionate message of Islam to wider society.
From the east to the west, from the north to the south, people from every corner of the world were invited to Islam, as well as having the opportunity to find out more about the fastest growing religion in the world.
The ‘World Dawah Mission’ took place in conjunction with the Rio Olympics 2016 in Brazil and was a continuation of last year’s ‘Global Messenger Day’ campaign , which took place in 55 countries.
This year, iERA surpassed its own expectations by doing what no other Muslim organisation or Islamic movement has done before:
24 hours – 6 continents – Over 160 countries – 1 call – the call to Islam!
iERA’s Head of Education, Hamza Andreas Tzortzis, said: “The World Dawah Mission campaign was the first of its kind. Muslims from every corner of the world came out to convey Islam with compassion, love, and reason.
“To know that iERA played a key role in facilitating this historic campaign was truly humbling. It is evidence that the only way to break down barriers of hate, intolerance, and ignorance is to intelligently engage with our brothers and sisters in humanity, as well as positively contributing to society at every given opportunity.”
