Throughout the month of December, the Leicester Square Dawah Team launched the 2015 ‘Christmas Dawah Campaign’. Members of the local dawah team that hold stalls every Wednesday night in Leicester Square designed and launched this campaign.
The main theme of the campaign centred around the Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). Campaign hoodies, pop up banners and table banners displayed the message “I love Jesus because I’m Muslim”.
Along with this campaign, iERA dawah initiation cards were distributed as a means to engage Londoners in positive conversations about the peaceful message of Islam. The following questions were asked to engage members of the public:
1. What are the first three words that come to your mind when you think of Christmas?
2. Do you believe the meaning of Christmas has changed over the years?
3. What is your belief in Jesus (peace be upon him)? Do you believe Jesus was God, or someone sent by God?
4. Do you know the message of Jesus (peace be upon him) in Islam?
This campaign attracted a lot of interest from the public due to the eye-catching design of the hoodies and banners. Many non-Muslims were unaware that Muslims believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) as a Prophet and messenger of God, as well as the Messiah.

As a result of the launch of the ‘I love Jesus’ campaign in London, dawah teams across the world requested to take part in this year’s Christmas Dawah campaign, and asked for the designs of the banners, hoodies and flyers.
Following on from this, the Christmas Dawah campaign has gone global across four continents, as teams from New York, Kenya, Hong Kong and Qatar have also launched the campaign in their respective cities.
