The local Church’s parish was extended an invitation and they happily attended. iERA Volunteer Mohsen Mastaan who organised the exhibition spoke to the Vicar and Priests and found that they were largely unaware of the Muslim traditions about Jesus. They were pleasantly surprised by what they learned from the exhibition. The exhibition was also explored by many other members of the local community who were interested in learning more about the Mosque and Islam.
In addition, the Mosque also had a Qur’an table, where guests could sit and listen to the Qur’an in Arabic – whilst reading the translation on the screen. Everyone who sat to listen finished the chapter and were visibly moved by the experience.
After making their way around the exhibition walls, the guests would see the book table and were encouraged to ask questions about the event. Mohsen was on hand to answer the questions and books were given out to guests so they could follow on with their interest.
Overall, the day was a huge success and the Jesus Exhibition being the unique factor which made the event very memorable for the guests.
