The iERA team in Brazil on final day of our World Cup Dawah Mission were giving dawah in Rio de Janeiro in the shadow of Sugarloaf Mountain.
The day commences with the Global Dawah Day, Saturday 5th July, where they join dawah teams around the world on the same day from Toronto to Hong Kong – all sharing the message of Islam.
They meet a Christian cruise ship worker who does not believe that Jesus is God and accepts that we should worship God alone. In the afternoon, they were joined by a group of elderly ‘uncles’ who, with no formal training, just started sharing the message of Islam with their fellow Brazilians. Later on that day they meet a young man who is studying to become a history teacher. They start talking to him about the Quran and how we still have it in its orignal language, arabic. He finds this fascinating as nobody can see the orignal Bible as its been lost – the oldest manuscripts are in Greek but Jesus spoke aramaic!
Finally, they meet a Jewish lady who believes that the Prophet Muhammed ﷺ is a Prophet sent by God like Moses and that the Qur’an is the final revelation from God to all of humanity.
