On Saturday 17th February 2018, iERA was invited by the Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS) to deliver a regional dawah training workshop for Islamic Societies (ISOC’s) across the Midlands, in preparation for Discover Islam Week 2018. This is part of a national programme of dawah training that is being organised by FOSIS and iERA.
The workshop was delivered by iERA Global Outreach Specialist Salahuddin Patel and was hosted by the University Of Leicester ISOC and was well received by the attendees who were keen to learn iERA’s trademark GORAP conversation framework in order to convey the call and articulate a compassionate and intelligent case for Islam.
The attendees thoroughly enjoyed the educational programme and especially the practical role-play session where they practised what they had learnt during the sessions.
Muhammad Ahmed a Leicester University student said: “Once again I would like to say a huge jazakAllah khayr for coming over especially on the weekend. Your delivery eased my heart and was worth all the efforts in organising this”.
Another student, Khalid Shah also commented: “Thank you for the Dawah training, it was genuinely inspiring and certainly insightful.”
Hashim an International Student from Indonesia was delighted by the programme “The Dawah training is really helpful, not only for local Muslim students but also for international Muslim students in how to engage with Non-Muslim students. This training is easy to understand because the trainer delivers information through simulation, audience interaction and historical and scientific description.”
