On the weekend of 19th and 20th December 2015, iERA attended Islamic Network’s sixth annual ‘Steps to Allah Conference’. It was a back-to-back event held in both Manchester and London.
The theme of the conference was ‘The Covenant, Our Pledge to Allah’. It was a full-day family event that hosted speakers from across the globe, including Sheikh Abu Abdissalaam, Sheikh Abdul Bary Yahya, Ustad Asif Uddin, Abu Hafsa Abdul Malik Clare, Muslim Belal, Yusha Evans, Hamza Tzortzis, Sheikh Abu Bilal Sanel, and Sheikh Wasim Kempson.
The event in Manchester was held in a beautiful converted church, and hosted over 200 attendees. The topics covered during the talks were the ‘Love and hope of Allah’, ‘How to use the Qur’an and Sunnah to handle worries and concerns in life’ and ‘The 99 names of Allah’. The corresponding conference held in London addressed the same topics and hosted more than 900 people.
iERA’s Head of Education and Research, Hamza Tzortzis, gave a passionate talk entitled ‘Denying Allah is Denying Reality’. During his speech, Hamza also spoke about iERA’s groundbreaking workshop – ‘The Failed Hypothesis: Islam, The Quran and Science’, which will be held in Manchester on Saturday 16th January 2016. You can register for that workshop here.
iERA had a dawah stall at both conferences, where we distributed our new One Reason publication, ‘The Eternal Challenge – A Journey Through The Miraculous Quran’, and the Convey One Verse dawah initiation cards.
iERA distributed over 840 copies of the Eternal Challenge book and more than 25,000 Convey One Verse Cards over the course of the weekend.
