iERA’s Haroon Qureshi was invited by South London Scouts to give information and conduct activities helping to educate staff on the Islamic faith. This endeavour formed part of the curriculum in order for scouts to be awarded the Faith Badge.
Haroon delivered short workshops to both Muslim and Non-Muslim scout groups on social cohesion, understanding Islam and Muslims as well as becoming a leader for humanity.
Haroon also trained Muslim scouts on how to engage with wider society and got them to give Qur’ans to other scouts groups. South London Scouts staff were very happy and appreciative with Haroon’s efforts.
The programme was attended by over 1000 young scouts.
iERA thoroughly encourages and recommends building relationships with community leaders and organisations to clarify misunderstandings about Islam and to work in co-operation with fellow citizens.
