A team from the Islamic Education & Research Academy (iERA) took to the streets of Camden in north London, UK on the weekend of 5-6th September 2014.
The team consisted of Salahuddin Patel, one of iERA’s Community Organisers, iERA’s Head of Education and Research, Hamza Tzortzis, as well as Muslims from the local community. The team met at Camden Town Underground Station in the morning and proceeded to present the message of Islam to locals in the main shopping area.
The team then had some dawah training from Hamza Tzortzis at the Al-Qalam Mosque in nearby Kilburn.
The team moved onto Speakers Corner in Hyde Park the next day. Speakers Corner is always a lively place with lots of talks, debates and discussions taking place on Sundays. Hamza Tzortzis had some intense discussions with atheists, whilst iERA’s Subboor Ahmad gave a short talk on atheism and its fallacies.
