With iERA’s Jesus Exhibition regularly taking place in towns and cities around the world, when Discover Islam announced one would be taking place at the prestigious Gresham Hotel in Dublin, Ireland, the excitement was palpable!
With the exhibition set up as a focal point of the event on the 26th May 2018, iERA Outreach Specialist Murtaza Chaudhry was on hand to welcome visitors and answer any questions they might have had about Islam’s view of Jesus – Son of Mary.
The exhibition proved so popular that before the end of the day, iERA’s entire stock of literature including its bestselling books ‘The Eternal Challenge’ and of course, ‘Jesus: Man, Messenger, Messiah’ were wiped out.
Amongst the many choice engagements that took place, Murtaza had a great discussion with a young Christian visitor. He commented that they focused on the common ground between Islam and Christianity. The visitor himself agreed that we shouldn’t ignore the vast amount of commonality between the faiths and that everyone, regardless of religion should work together for a better world.
One conversation that stood out for Murtada, not just for its length but the breadth of topics discussed. Damir who hails from Croatia believed in a higher power which he called Mother Nature. This gave Murtada an opportunity to explain Islamic monotheism (Tawheed) in simple, clear and relatable manner. The two became fast friends, and Damir left with a good selection of books for further study, as well as becoming Facebook friends with Murtaza. Damir was so impressed by the exhibition, conversation and manner of the Muslims that he met, that he said he would donate to iERA to continue its outreach.
May Allah guide Damir and all those that have engaged with iERA Jesus Exhibition.
