INTRODUCTION TO CAMPAIGN
As part of our continuous efforts in combatting all forms of racism and hate, One Community will be running the ‘Against Hate, Against Racism’ campaign on Saturday 19th March 2016, which will also be on the same day as Stand up to Racism’s “Anti-Racism Day”.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said in the famous hadith:
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white – except by piety and good action.”
The purpose of the campaign is to promote peace and tolerance between all communities, by understanding common views relating to racism within British society, and to also explore what the teachings of Islam have to say about racial hatred.
Similar to last year’s campaign, One Community will be mobilising teams across the country to oppose this message of hate, with the message of love.
standuptoracism.org.uk – Stand Up To Racism has led some of the biggest anti-racist mobilisations in Britain of the last decade, including the UN Anti-racism day demonstrations of 2014 and 2015 and the 100,000 strong Refugees Welcome demonstration on 12th September 2015.

☑ Request video feedback from the general public or a picture.
3: FOLLOW UP
☑ Once you have completed the activity, assemble the team together and get a brief feedback from them all.
☑ Footage is pivotal because, through it, we can motivate Muslims across the UK (and potentially the world!) to do the same activity.
